The work package we prepare
One identified ordinary building water-services, sanitary-drainage or stormwater-drainage work package. The agreed boundary determines material checks, installation interfaces, pre-cover inspections, applicable testing and completion evidence. Separate systems and additional packages are scoped individually.
Gas, industrial/process pressure piping, fire services, authority networks, on-site wastewater treatment and hydraulic design require separate scope. Installation, testing, statutory inspection and certification remain with the appropriately appointed parties. Document preparation does not authorise connection or concealment.
Documents that make the plan specific
Upload the files as they are. You do not need to extract clauses or rewrite them into a brief. Include the mandatory contractor form if you have one.
- Hydraulic or drainage drawings
- Current revisions, pipe sections/runs and pit IDs, routes, levels, supports, connection details and the upstream/downstream scope boundary.
- Specification and approved product instructions
- Selected materials and joint systems, installation requirements and evidence of suitability or WaterMark applicability. Include approved substitutions.
- Approved test and completion requirements
- Applicable method, medium, pressure/head, duration, acceptance criteria, instrument evidence, coverage and any flushing/disinfection requirements. These are taken from project sources, not generic defaults.
- Project and jurisdiction requirements
- Location, adopted requirements, contractor form, assigned responsibilities, notices/hold points and applicable authority connection, inspection and certification arrangements.
How requirements become checks and records
The sequence below explains the document workflow. It contains no engineering thresholds or completed inspection results.
| Work stage | What the ITP resolves | What the blank record captures later |
|---|---|---|
| Water services installation and testing | Link the selected products and installation section to approved jointing, routing and test requirements. | Capture section limits, instruments and specified conditions, then actual test evidence, defects and retest references. |
| Sanitary work before covering | Identify the run, relevant geometry/joints/access and applicable pre-cover inspection and test requirements. | Keep observed installation evidence, test report and the project-assigned covering decision linked to the same run. |
| Stormwater pipes, pits and outlet | Reference the approved layout, levels, designated outlet and relevant installation interfaces. | Link pipe/pit observations, applicable tests, as-built details and unresolved connections to the handover. |
What you receive
- A scoped ITP with inspection steps, methods, project criteria and source references, timing/frequency where supplied, responsibilities and the project control-point legend.
- Matching blank field records for the agreed checks, including actual observation, evidence, issue, recheck and sign-off fields.
- Excel, Word and PDF, with document control and specific open confirmations. Actual measurements, test results and signatures remain blank.
- Your supplied contractor form used where its format is required. Source documents and paid standards are not redistributed as part of the package.
If the documents are incomplete or conflict
For example, an approved layout can support the installation sequence while a missing pressure-test procedure remains a specific query. We do not invent pressure, test duration, drainage gradient, disinfection conditions or authority release rights. Essential unresolved criteria must be confirmed before the affected check is finalised.
Project document precedence and approved revisions control the plan. Drafting does not confer engineering approval, certify compliance or guarantee contractor acceptance.
