The work package we prepare
One identified internal wet-area waterproofing package: applicable substrate preparation and handover, junction and penetration details, system installation records, curing/readiness evidence and inspection before protection or covering.
External decks, roofs, pools, tanks, below-ground waterproofing and structural design are separate scopes. This service does not carry out installation, testing, inspection or certification. Applicable building requirements and approval pathways remain project- and location-specific.
Documents that make the plan specific
Upload the files as they are. You do not need to extract clauses or rewrite them into a brief. Include the mandatory contractor form if you have one.
- Wet-area drawings and approved details
- Room boundaries, substrates, falls, drains, junctions, penetrations and the intended finish or covering.
- Specified system and product instructions
- The approved primer, membrane, bond breakers, reinforcement/accessories and current applicable instructions, including compatible substrates and installation conditions.
- Project specification and applicable compliance basis
- The project location, building class and adopted requirements where provided. A public example or the latest document online is not automatically the governing project edition.
- Contractor inspection and handover requirements
- The required form, responsible parties, assigned notice/hold points, testing instructions if applicable, and records needed before covering.
How requirements become checks and records
The sequence below explains the document workflow. It contains no engineering thresholds or completed inspection results.
| Work stage | What the ITP resolves | What the blank record captures later |
|---|---|---|
| Substrate handover | The specified system and project details define the substrate condition and interfaces to verify. | Record the inspected room/area, condition or measurements, preparation and unresolved defects before membrane work. |
| Membrane installation | Approved system instructions define the actual materials, preparation, application and applicable measurements. | Record products and batch references, work areas, application dates and required layer/measurement evidence. |
| Before covering | Project instructions define the readiness evidence, inspections and any specified testing. | Link installation and curing records to visible condition, damage/repair rechecks and the project handover decision. |
What you receive
- A scoped ITP with inspection steps, methods, project criteria and source references, timing/frequency where supplied, responsibilities and the project control-point legend.
- Matching blank field records for the agreed checks, including actual observation, evidence, issue, recheck and sign-off fields.
- Excel, Word and PDF, with document control and specific open confirmations. Actual measurements, test results and signatures remain blank.
- Your supplied contractor form used where its format is required. Source documents and paid standards are not redistributed as part of the package.
If the documents are incomplete or conflict
For example, a product name without the applicable system instructions is not enough to invent a membrane thickness, substrate moisture limit, curing period or flood-test duration. We identify the exact missing requirement and carry forward the supported parts of the package.
Project document precedence and approved revisions control the plan. Drafting does not confer engineering approval, certify compliance or guarantee contractor acceptance.
